Hello folks, I'm giving a hands-on workshop on how to stop spammers with OpenBSD in the Washington, DC area. It is at a conference focusing on technology in the educational sector. While the focus of the conference is indeed educators, anybody is welcome, and there is no fee. I'm sending you this info in case you'd like to include it on the OpenBSD Web site in the "Events" page. The more people that know about spamd, the better. The physical location is Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and the address is as follows: Jefferson Overseas Schools Technology Institute Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology 6560 Braddock Road Annandale, VA 22312 The workshop info is as follows: Stopping Spammers with OpenBSD Wednesday, June 27 9:00 b 12:00 Room: TBD Presenter: Terrell Prude, Fairfax County Public Schools "This session will look at alternate methods to the popular Spam-Assassin for controlling spam on mail servers, using OpenBSD. Since OpenBSD's SPAMD program requires the use of the PF packet filter, we will cover the use and configuration of that as well." ________________________________________ Terrell PrudC), Jr., Network Analyst Fairfax County Public Schools, Dept. of IT Network Management Services (NMS) (703) 329-7575
