I have the following entry for the i386-laptop.html page that isn't currently on there. Model: IBM ThinkPad T42p, Model number 2373HTU - OpenBSD 4.1-release works Most things work: - Atheros AR5212 wireless ath(4) device works - Sound/Audio auich(4) device works - Gigabit ethernet em(4) device works - USB works - SpeedStep works - X works at 1600x1200 with no special xorg.conf - All special buttons (e.g. volume, Fn+ combinations, Access IBM) work with OSD feedback using /usr/ports/sysutils/tpb from ports. - APM, including suspend to RAM (sleep) and suspend to disk (hibernation), works fine. In order for these to work while running X, X.org must be configured to us the "vesa" driver vs the "ati" driver. When using the default ati driver under X, suspending the system will cause it to hang. Things that don't work - Built-in winmodem - Built-in USB Bluetooth - When inserting a Cardbus or PCMCIA card, the system will panic and crash. This appears to be PR 5239 Contact: Erik Mugele <[email protected]> dmesg link: http://www.teuton.org/~ejm/t42p/dmesg41.txt xorg.conf link: http://www.teuton.org/~ejm/t42p/xorg41.txt More info link: http://www.teuton.org/~ejm/t42p/ Erik
