Information to add to the OpenBSD i386 Laptop Status.
Sorry, no webspace, so dmesg and xorg.conf included....
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 9400
- Openbsd 4.2 current (Nov 14, 2007) works.
- Touchpad and Widescreen working fine with X, but had to edit xorg.conf to support 1920x1280px
- ACPI working fine with latest snapshots:
halt -p working, battery and AC power recognised etc..
Using bsd.mp with acpi and acpiec enabled, uscanner disabled to recognize HP scanner
- Audio is working but setting volume is also influencing the balance (using aumix and gmplayer)
- Wireless working fine with the wpi-3945 driver from Damien Bergamini, using WEP encryption (waiting for WPA2...)
- Fn keys for setting screen brightness do result in a hanging system
A very stable system, all normal functions are working fine (pcmcia etc... not used and not tested)
