Tip to get money out of OpenBSD using companies:

Create a "hall of shame" (you could call it something a little nicer
like a "wink-wink nudge-nudge" or "Users, but not supports" page) page.

Take all the for-profit corporations that are making a good dime off
your work and write them up on a list for the public to see.

I'd bet that some of them come talk to you about getting removed from
that page, and moved to the OpenBSD "Hall of Fame" page instead.

This could not only serve as a shame page, but would also serve as
endorsement/advert page to show what companies, and technology is
running OpenBSD.



Here (on the Fame page) you could not only place the corporations who
have made a reasonable contribution, but you could also name your top
private contributors (as your sites angels/top donors).

And for kicks you could create a longer list of ALL the contributors to
the OpenBSD endeavor (both time and resources as well as money).





P.S. I do not believe that my company currently uses OpenBSD, but I am
downloading the images to try it out at home on some i386 and Sparc
hardware.

If I find some uses for our corporation I will certainly be happy to
push for our company to make a donation, some suggested donation rates
based on use would be very helpful getting a PO actually made.

Without some valuation of your product and some donation suggestions, it
will be hard to justify why the business should cut a check for
something that is otherwise considered "free".
