possible, yes.  Of course.

Going to happen this week, or this year?  probably not.

X and base snapshots are built asynchronously from each other and by
different people, so doing this for snapshots would be a lot of
extra work and effort that would slow down the development and
snapshot process.

You are probably about to say, "but, it would only take a couple
extra minutes to do it!".  Right.  times what, 15+ platforms?  Some
of which can build ten times in one day, others can build once in
ten days.  Taken out of a volunteer's time.  All for very little
benefit.
