But then most people trying to get others to do their school projects 
for them balk at the hourly rates charged....   He asked exactly the 
same thing over on a FreeBSD list after s/Open BSD/FreeBSD/g.

Julian, you're just going to have to read some.  If you actually look at 
the OpenBSD site, you might find that the very first question in the FAQ 
document is "What is OpenBSD?"
