I think we shouldn't rename the kernels in ${RELEASEPATH}, but in /, so
the line relating to the multiprocessor kernels
cp bsd bsd.sp ; mv bsd.mp bsd
should be
cp /bsd /bsd.sp ; mv /bsd.mp /bsd
