Something changed in Xorg during the last month in the default compile
of /usr/XF4 (-current) on amd64. Both DPMS and
XFree86-VidModeExtension seem to have both gone missing. Did I miss
adding a new config option somewhere?
mplayer gripes:
Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0".
In addition to this gripe, both mplayer and gmplayer now refuse to
show full-screen video preferring to show a small postage-stamp sized
picture in a full-sized black window.
"xset q" gripes:
DPMS (Energy Star):
Server does not have the DPMS Extension
Strangely the DPMS low-power blanking does seem to work. (My monitor
displays the standard msg when the hsync/vsync and the power led does
flash indicating it is in the low power mode).
