Dual Head on SPACStation 4

It may seem a bit of a strech but I'm going for dualhead SPARCStation 4.
I have the "onboard tcx" and I added a 8bit cgsix. As you can see from
the "messages" file, both are found at boot time but only the cgsix is
being attached to a device. If I remove the cgsix then the tcx works
fine. How can I get both to be attached?

I have tried (found this hint in some man page somewhere):

cd /dev

./MAKEDEV fd1

reboot

cd /dev

./MAKEDEV fd

reboot

cd /dev

./MAKEDEV cgsix

reboot

cd /dev

./MAKEDEV tcx

reboot

Non of this helped.
