There is a bug against the macirssi port from June 2005:

There is a discussion thread from March 2006 in which the possibility  
of removing this port was brought up because it was unclear why  
anyone would want it (though there was more discussion after that  
statement):

Is there a particular reason why you want this port, instead of  
downloading the binary provided by the macirssi project?
