Newbie needs help running mkvtoonix (GUI-frontend seems busted)

Alright, I managed to install Darwinports without any
problems. Then I installed mkvtoolnix. Installed
without errors. When I run it (as mmg), the mkvtoolnix
GUI-frontend appears but all the buttons and menus are
non-responsive. It just sits behind the Terminal
window.

Am I doing something wrong? If so, how do I get mmg to
work?
