Is any version of mplayer (e.g. the pre-compiled GUI version) working  
on darwin-x86 yet?  Last I checked there were still issues upstream  
of dports/mports keeping it from compiling on Intel even from CVS.   
Until the upstream sources support MacOS X on Intel, there's not much  
that can be done in dports.
