IMPORTANT information for DarwinPorts committers:
As part of our move to macosforge, and our in-progress adoption of
the MacPorts name, we will be moving our source and bug repositories
to macosforge ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, on August 29. At that time we will
freeze the cvs and bugzilla repositories on opendarwin so that they
are no longer accessible. All future work will be through the
subversion/trac system at macosforge.
If you wish to move your commit privileges to the new system, it is
important that you do the following ASAP:
(1) We have already given you, as a committer, an email alias
@macports.org, with the same name
as your opendarwin account, and which forwards to the email
address we have on file for you.
Please test that this alias works to get you email.
(2) Sign up for a trac account at http://trac.macosforge.org/
projects/macports/register, using your
@macports.org alias as an email address.
(If you DO NOT at present have commit privileges, please don't do
this: we'll get new
information out soon for those who would like to apply for commit
rights on the new system).
(3) Send an email to Kevin Van Vechten <[email protected]>,
letting him know that you are
a macports committer, that you have registered for an
account, and the email address under
which you registered. Kevin will give you appropriate access
to the svn repository.
(4) There is a start at some information for committers about the
subversion repository at
http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/wiki/
CommitterDocs.
Please review it when you've got time.
If you want to give up your commit rights to darwinports/macports,
please send an email to [email protected], letting us know, so
that we can surrender your ports and give others a chance to contribute.
Let us know if you have any questions.
James
