Both Jordan and I have already told you that UFS is not recommended,  
and Jordan specifically mentioned that it's deprecated and is likely  
to be removed at some point.  We've also both said that it has bugs  
and doesn't work all that well.  You're welcome to use it if you'd  
like, but you should be aware of its limitations and the likelihood  
that all of the problems you've reported will magically go away if  
you're using a file system which works better.
