My first thought was a namespace conflict (since domain names and names in general will change from "darwinports" to "macports") and I was wondering if I later needed to perform a selfupdate, could that cause some sort of problem in the future. Thanks for your tolerance if my question was not framed too well. Thanks also to the others who replied. I don't understand Darwin / Mac Ports as deeply as some, but I will do my best to contribute with bug testing and reporting, etc. Best regards, T.
