Could you take a look and see > wether the script is empty? (% less /usr/X11R6/bin/startx) I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm not at the computer at the moment, but I'll post what details I can come up with from memory and I'll fill in details later when needed. It started and the X server attempted to run, but failed and complained about not finding a suitable screen or something like that. Some questions that I had: Should I expect X on Darwin-x86 to work right out of the box? Do I need a XF86Config or xorg.conf file for X on Darwin-x86? Is there some other way of configuring it? Is there some other component that I should be checking on for misconfiguration?
