Differences between Darwin and OpenDarwin?

This may be a really stupid question but I can't find an answer to
this anywhere on either website.

What is the difference between Darwin and OpenDarwin?

Having tried them both I can't see a difference. Also, is there an IRC
channel for Darwin/Open Darwin? I've come across a couple of problems
with them and am wondering where the best place to get help would be.
