Re: creating statically linked binaries

I probably should have given more details on my question.

Basically Im writing code the runs on the OS and has NO GUI interface, (and 
for this example lets say no
disk IO) I want to write it in a OO language (Objective-C or possible C++). 
A simular program needs to run under OF, which means I currently would need 
to write a C version of the OO application as well.

Im thinking to get around this I build a static (Objective-C or possible 
ANSI C++) binary (with no OS calls) and use this under OF. Is this really 
that impossible???????

This is a rewrite of an existing system "C" that runs under OF & OS, my 
issue is that 25% of the
coding for the OS app is the same as whats needed for OF and I dont really 
want to rewrite it in "C".
I end up maintaining a C and C++/OBJ-C of version of simular code.
