I downloaded and installed OD 7.2.1 onto my x86 PC, followed the instructions from "Notes on Installing OD 7.2.1 on x86" to install darwinports and ran "sudo /opt/local/bin/port install windowmaker" to install windowmaker. That all went well, except that windowmaker took 45 minutes to install. Port install Lynx took 10 minutes. Are those typical time frames? Then my problems began. All the other port install commands failed. Port install gnome ran for an hour and failed. Port install galeon failed. Port install mozilla and kde ran for 4 hours, fetching, verifying, configuring, installing, building, then failing, kde with an error saying not able to verify md5 checksum, mozilla with an error about the source code. Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing a configuration setting? I can live with the 2, 3 or 4 hours of processing if I have to, and the software eventually installs, but I'd like to correct it if I'm doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated. glhowze
