Darwin softwareupdate?

Hello,

Please forgive the FAQ nature of this one but does Darwin 8.0.1 
support softwareupdate? I've tried copying it over from Tiger and it 
failed to locate a few things. I did not investigate.

I have searched the mailing lists and web and from what I can tell, 
the best one can do it to build updated packages and hope that any 
interdependencies are resolved, if that.

Seriously, does Darwin have an automated/semi-automated update mechanism?
