Darwin on a pb, newbie questions

Hi all,
newbie questions, sorry if this isnt the right place to post messages
of this type.
I would like an(other) unix like os on my powerbook and I was
wondering what hardware support for powerbooks is like in opendarwin.
Is it possible to use mac os x binary drivers to get things like my
airport extreme card working? What about video card drivers?
The powerbook in question is a pb g4 6.5 12" with airport extreme and
nvidia graphics card.
