Hello Folks,
Being "nubie's" to Open Darwin/Darwin (any version) we
are right out of our depth, in deciding on a goof proof GUI Front
End to OD x86 ver 8.0.1!

We note Darwin Ports have "Gnome" available and either X86free or X11.
BUT how difficult are they to install for newbie's.

Our Host OS is Fedora Core 3.
Our Hardware is AMD x86 PC's
Our flavour of Open Darwin is X86 Version 8.0.1

We have had some many years with various Linux Distro's but in the
majority, only GUI usage - in other words "Little Text
Console/Command Line experience."

Please Note: We "prefer" advice from current active users of the
X86 8.0.1 Version of Open Darwin that have worked with porting and
or installing available GUI'S for this version.

         Thank you all in advance.
                                                         Regards,
                                                         Jeff.
ps. BEFORE.... we can go tooooo far down this road we have quite a
problem with tri-booting, to solve, - MS (text based) Dos PLUS
Fedora Core 3 PLUS Darwin.

See...... our other very recent post, re: tri-booting

                                       Thanx ... jeff.
