Updateing or adding files to a ver 8.0.1 X86 installation of OD that is NOT Online

Ga'day Friends,
                Can anyone assist us with just exactly how we can 
get all or any of the latest DarwinPorts from their CVS Repository 
when our current X86 ver 8.0.1 is not online. As yet we haven't 
"quite" figured out how to take the new kid on the block to a www 
connection through our dial in Aussie ISP Telstra BigPond.

     UNFORTUNATELY...... we have never before had a use for CVS, so 
we don't know the first thing about it.
We DO have access to Fedora Core 3 on the same x86 box and Win 2k 
Pro on the same box.
We DO have CDRom/DVD burning ability.

Can we use CVS for instance from FC 3 and save the images/files 
into a folder on our FC3 installation partitions and then burn them 
onto a blank CD or DVD and then install them into Darwin x86 v 
8.0.1 ?

OR

What steps can we take to get x86 8.0.1 dialing in and choosing to 
get any available GUI/GUI's plus GUI Browsers aka Firefox plus GUI 
ISP dial in downloaded and install through Darwin itself ?
