The binary Darwin 8.0.1 release was made Apple internally, before the corresponding sources reached the public and is known to have quirks. It can't be re-built from public sources, either. Alternatives would be the Darwin 7.2.3 release from OpenDarwin or to build a current system on your own. The darwinbuild tool seems to have become quite usable recently and possibly some of the others on this list have an (almost) complete build available privately, already. > Qemu [...] I use Tiger on PB [...] The last time I tried it was non-obvious how to get Qemu running on a Mac.
