Hello! I would like to say my opinion about opendarwin shutting down. If the OpenDarwin kernel will stay alive it can be organized as a independent operating system like many others. The kernel can be integrated in Debian system. On that base are made NexentaOS (opensolaris kernel and debian environment), gnu/netbsd (netbsd kernel and debian environment). So, why have not to do the same? To keep alive part of darwin. Darwin kernel in Debian environment and packages. These brings a lot of quality open source software and very big interest from many developers and contributors. Regards, Svetoslav.
