However, if forsyth gets sufficiently excited >>to work on the compiler, I'll probably buy a machine i'm actually fairly depressed by what i've read but because of the way they've done it it's probably not too hard to support. come to think of it, i haven't got a machine either but someone here was interested. i was only being sour because there has been so much golly gosh enthusiastic hype about it (not here, i hasten to add, but elsewhere), and it doesn't live up to even the little i expected. i hadn't really looked at it before. i stupidly had grown the impression that you flipped a bit in a control register and had a decent architecture for a change! i can't believe they kept the page tables. i'm hoping i've missed something.
