Yes, that's what I was worried about.  I don't mind that some
unknown sysadmin at a university far away might tweak the
calculations I do on his machine;  that's a risk I can understand
and limit.    But I don't want him being able (by giving me a
modified rc or lib/profile, say) to reach back through /mnt/term
and run things on my machine inside Lucent.

In the first case, where the sysadmin of my machine at Lucent
is Dave Presotto, I depend on blind trust.  If he wanted to
get something there are so many ways it's not even funny.
Plan 9 protections were never designed to guard against that.
