a quick google search says: ... This is a fvwm2 FAQ. The answer is that most likely you don't have a .fvwm2rc file. You must have one installed either in the fvwm2 library directory or in your home directory; unfortunately, make install does neither of these for you (it should do the first, IMHO). Instead, a system.fvwmrc file is installed in the fvwm2 library directory. Either link that to .fvwm2rc in the same directory, or copy system.fvwmrc to $HOME/.fvwm2rc. It took me a long time to puzzle this out, until I found the fvwm2 mailing list; to subscribe send "subscribe fvwm" in the body of a message to [email protected] Also, have you tried fvwm95 yet? It's very nice.
