I've been running a SunBlade 1000 here for some time now - single CPU at
the moment, but 4 GB of RAM, 73 GB FCAL disk, and an Elite-3dm6
framebuffer. Running Solaris 9 (with masses of patches, open-source
packages, etc. that weren't included with Solaris 8 or 9) but needs
upgrading to 10 since there are loads of library inconsistencies, etc.
that need sorting out. 8-)

Downloading Solaris 10 CD ISO's (I don't have a DVD burner) over a 512/512
DSL is damn slow though... argh!

Hardware though is rock-stable and apart from a cleanout every 6 to 12
months to get dust out of everything, it's a great machine, and really
quiet.

Craig.
