Hi Folks Just ordered an XVR-600 frame buffer from ebay.fr. Seems quite rare to find them on this side of the pond and the price was ok. I got it for a couple of reasons. Last year I found a really nice Philips 220EW monitor in the supermarket but it doesn't work with the standard VGA of the Sunblade, moving to DVI should make it work. I also installed this yesterday and have been having a lot of fun pitting bot armies against one another and joining in from my G5. http://ioquake3.org/get-it/ Works fine under Solaris in server mode but graphics performance is pretty dire when trying to play even though CPU usage only ever goes up to about 40%. One question, what do I need to do to Solaris 10 after the card is physically installed? I seem to remember running boot -n to rebuild /dev when adding a tape drive but I've never added a new frame buffer before. Do I need to do the same here? What about OpenGL drivers etc? Are they all there in a standard Solaris 10 install? Best regards Ben
