Dead Ultra 1

I have a Sun Ultra 1 (143MHz if memory serves) that was working the last time I had it plugged in, probably 5 years ago. I just went to power it up (it's been disconnected from mains) to see what the specs were, to clear off any personal data, and to send it on to a new home if anyone wants it. But it's dead. Doesn't power on at all. Is there anything obvious I'm missing that I should try, or should I just yank the hard drives and send it off to the tech recyclers?
