The CPU boards in the 880 aren't the most rock-solid. I've had them appear to be seated correctly but not functioning and experience says to give 'em a slap in the centre of the board after installation and then give each screw a further half-turn. Strip all your CPU boards out and re-install one board in slot A. Really make sure it's seated. Re-power and it should hopefully come to life for you. I'd re-seat everything just to be sure and power the machine on in the diagnostic position to increase your chances of getting some inspiration from the box if it's unhappy. You might want to see if the RSC is booting to ensure power is being properly distributed. -- Andre van Eyssen. mail: [email protected] jabber: [email protected] purplecow.org: UNIX for the masses http://www2.purplecow.org purplecow.org: PCOWpix http://pix.purplecow.org
