I accidentally hit reply instead of reply all.

I'll try to change the ROM over from one to the other and see what happens.  But I don't believe it's the CD drive because I'm using the same physical drive on both machines, swapping it from one to the other.  Unless I'm overlooking a setting that would be on the machine itself in which case I'll try that, too.
