No, but I have had problems with the FreeBSD installer being unresponsive
and doing things that have no relation to what I am typing and I found it
had to do with the keyboard mapping.

Are you using a non-standard keyboard and is there any way (I used to use
NetBSD a lot years ago but have been away from it except for a quick
checkout of 5.0.1 recently) to set the keyboard before you go into the main
part of the installer?

Can you try using a different keyboard?
