Would IBM Tivoli Storage Manager fit the bill? We back up a few NetBSD/i386
servers @work with it; the linux emulation works just fine. I haven't tried
sparc, though.

I guess you are referring to NetBSD/sparc 5? You could run an UP kernel.
Yes, it's annoying (kept me on NetBSD 4 for a long time with a ss20/2x
SM71); but it is not a showstopper.

It's a volunteer project. The last Solaris version supporting sparc32 is
v9. How is support for sparc32 in other OSes these days? What exactly is
your point?
