Just want to confirm, there is an error in the example steps for setting
the IDPROM in the squirrel.com Sun NVRAM FAQ, right?

In the IDPROM Programming section, byte 8 of the IDPROM is part of the
manufacture date, but, in the Examples section, byte 8 is set to the
machine type.

To my amazement, I finally managed to modify a NVRAM to accept a
replaceable battery without messing something up and actually work in
a system afterward. Setting the IDPROM, I noticed the discrepancy in
the FAQ when I saw the machine type displayed as part of the Date in
the .idprom output. I need to remember to change that when I am
putting the system together after I get the frame buffer and HDD.
