Does it use the same first three bytes of the > ethernet address as Sun (8, 0, 20)? The machine is currently in the hands of the movers, so I can't check the reality. But I do have a file - which I have access to now - in which I have recorded most of my machines' MACs and, for Suns, their hostids. The Axil's entry says Axil 210 (SS2-alike) 08:00:20:03:a1:f4 5503a1f4 so the answers are "I don't know" and "yes". Once the move is completed enough to dig the machine out, I can check the serial number. If I haven't said anything about this in a couple of months, ping me again; I hope to be in the new place by then. /~\ The ASCII Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML [email protected] / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B
