netmask value changes after a reboot

Our second network card changes the subnetmask value after rebooting the
server. I had set the correct values in the /etc/netmasks file with the
network address and netmasks.


Following is my /etc/netmask file entry: (I used "x" instead of the network
address numbers for this email purpose.)
x.x.0.0       255.255.0.0
10.x.0.0      255.255.255.0

Have anyone come across with this issue?
