sshd and PAM in Solaris 9

We have a server that's probably not long for this world, but we do have to get through another
semester. We are trying to get it configured to use PAM so that we can connect it with our LDAP
server for authentication. It is:

     Sun Microsystems sun4u Sun (TM) Enterprise 250 (2 X UltraSPARC-II 400MHz)

     Solaris 9 9/04 s9s_u7wos_09 SPARC

SSH Version Sun_SSH_1.0.1, protocol versions 1.5/2.0.

We do have some other systems (T5220's running Solaris 10) that we have successfully configured. If
you do a `man sshd`, they show a table of PAM configuration at the end. On the Solaris 9 system,
there is no reference to PAM in the `man sshd`.

I just want to do a sanity check before we beat our heads too much. I think that the sshd on the
Solaris 9 system should work. Can anyone out there tell me for sure? And perhaps add a word of
advice or two on how to configure it?

TIA
