Our customer uses a Sun 3511 SATA Array as a data collection and storage
device.
One of the subassemblies in the array is a small battery module (part number
371-0539-01) which is there to keep up the unit RAM in the event of a power
interruption or failure.
Since the battery module is hot swappable, our customer has asked us if he can
just get rid of the battery module. He's willing to do this if there is no
performance impact to the system.
What is the impact of removing the battery assembly on the Sun 3511 SATA Array
performance?
