RBAC as a tool for non-root users

Hello,

we would like to give ability to some non-root users to do some servers administration tasks.
Especially give permissions to run some systems commands for our DBA when they install
or patch databases (Oracle - some of these commands has to be run as root).
In general we consider sudo and RBAC but personally I prefer RBAC.
Can you share you experience in such environment ? Does it work ?
