tomcat 6 startup issues on solaris sparc 10

Hi Gurus,

Tomcat shuts down when I exit from the ssh session on solaris 10 from
 where it was started.  I am using  ./startup.sh to start tomcat. When I
use nohup it is fine. My question is has anybody come across this issue. On
linux I always used the ./startup.sh with no problems. Can somebody explain
the difference.
