really frustrating.
I've searched through several manuals (pdf's) from Oracle, and can't find anything about connecting
to a J4200/J4400/J4500 with sscs CLI. The manuals I'm looking at are specifically for the J4000
series (both general CAM and CLI). They describe adding a registeredarray, but the options seem to
all involve an IP address or searching the local subnet. Even with the references to in-band and
SAS, they don't say anything about setting up the connection.
I tried doing an ssh to the server with portforwarding for 8563 which is where the java based web
interface is (https), but all I could get was "channel 4: open failed: administratively prohibited:
open failed" when I tried to open a web connection.
I know that I can simply connect the boxes and they work. However, that doesn't give me any
management capabilities, such as looking at and/or updating firmware, or tracking alerts, or
anything else of that sort. Since I'm acquiring some used/refurbished boxes, I would really like to
be able to check up on them a bit more. I now have one of each, all hanging off T5220's with Solaris
10 u7.
