SunFire4800 running Solaris 8 question - replacing tape unit of D240 with a physical hard drive

We are interested in replacing the tape unit with a hard drive. The Sun FE
handbook states that this is indeed possible. What should I be looking out
for?

Is a touch /reconfigure reboot of the 4800 and power cycle of the
D240(after swapping the tape unit with a hard drive) sufficient?
