live upgrade & avoid "Keyboard Layout" prompt after reboot

 hi all,

 when doing Live Upgrade sometimes after 'init 6' the system becomes 
 unreachable as it prompts for "Keyboard Layout" configuration in 
 single-user mode.
 this could be quite problematic on machines that do not have remote 
 console and physical access is not possible.

 some solaris updates go smooth (e.g. LU from S10 U8 -> U9) and on some 
 the prompt just appears (LU from U9 -> U10) -- the machine in question 
 is Sun LX50.

 is there a workaround for this? i need to be sure that the machine will 
 be reachable via network after the "reboot" to the new boot environment.
