removing clients from NIS domain

Dear managers

Can anybody recommend a simple way to remove a client from a NIS 
domain?  I've waded through pages of stuff on the web, but all of it 
seems to refer to creating NIS domains and adding clients to them, 
not dismantling them.  Also a lot of it is specifically for Solaris, 
HP-UX or Linux where the setup is more than subtly different to 
Tru64.  The domain I am trying to dismantle has another Tru64 machine 
as its master server, and was created by a predecessor in about 
1998.  There are no slave servers.
