Okay, I did some more searching and lo and behold I can't find the
original link on the HP site, but it was still in my IE history file.
The first one I downloaded was:

ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/v71.zip

And contains the conditions I outlined below. It looks like someone has
done some housekeeping and now has this:

http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/readmes/v7.1/ds20/ds20_dis
k1.zip
http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/readmes/v7.1/ds20/ds20_dis
k2.zip
http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/readmes/v7.1/ds20/ds20_dis
k3.zip

Which appear to have the correct files. Whatever... Just so it works.

Happy Monday!

Subject: Firmware updates for DS20 system

I need a little clarification on firmware updates for our DS20 cluster.

I downloaded the 7.1 firmware update CD and in the DS20 folder
FLOPPY_README.TXT file it say to copy:

pc264fw.txt
pc264nt.sys
pc264srm.sys

to "disk1" and then to copy:

pc264fsb.sys
dfxaa310.sys
kzpsaa12.sys
cipca420.sys
fc2381a4.sys
kg8381a4.sys
kg7303a1.sys

to "disk2".

There is a statement in the readme that says "if you need any of the
files of disk2, then all files listed must be copied to the floppy. For
disk2 I cannot locate the fc2381a4.sys or the kg8381a4.sys files
anywhere on the CD, although I did find some files that are similar
(kg7303a1.sys, kg7320x7.sys, kg8391a1.sys, and kg8392a2.sys). So, my
question is which files do I copy over to disk2?

Thanks!

If it is to be, it's up to me. - Unknown
