Thanks to all, who responded to my query. The most interesting reply 

got from Martin Roende Andersen is as follows:

First of all you have to make sure what version og Tru64 you have.

# cat /sys/conf/ver*

Here you get 5.1 AND you will get the A or B and patch version number 

as well(uname -a WONT).

Dupatch application will be able to tell you what patch kit is loaded.

All,

 

Kindly provide me the steps about performing operating system security 

hardening. I am newbie to Tru64 UNIX and have very little knowledge 

about the said OS. My current running TRU64 version is V5.1.
