IBM SAN DS4800

A short question. Our current configuration is a GS160, Tru64 5.1B
connected over a Compaq SAN Switch 16 to a Compaq/HP SAN (EMA12000) with
4 Compaq StorageWorks dual RAID Array HSG80 controllers.

We are planning to connect an IBM SAN DS4800 with the IBM SAN Volume
Controller (SVC) to the Compaq SAN Switch 16. After the IBM DS4800 SAN
is connected is a re-boot of the GS160 required/needed (production
system) or should a "hwmgr -scan scsi" find/see the volume on the IBM
DS4800 SAN?
