Problem: Customer replaced the external scsi tape/changer with the same model and scsi ID and rebooted. The tape and changer had null paths when showing the scsi info via hwmgr. There was no info in the CAM edt. Suggestions: -> Thanks to John Lanier dsfmgr -vV (results: no errors) delete the scsi did and comp id hwmgr scan scsi (results: could not see devices) Solution: We ended up powering the machine down, pulling the card out of the slot, reseated it, changed the SCSI cable and powered the machine back up. Both SCU and hwmgr showed the information for both the tape and changer and all works well. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
